Clinton Carlton of Medford has been here for several days visiting the Carlton and Wightman families. His home is in Medford, but he was in Canada at the outbreak of the war. He enlisted in the Canadian Army and served 37 months in the war in France. As a result of his long service, he was given special favors and recommendation by the Canadian Army officials.

Mrs. Lois Dreschler, who has been at the Lutheran Hospital at Eau Claire for the past two weeks, is gradually regaining strength after her serious operation. She wishes to take this way to extend her appreciation and heartfelt thanks to her neighbors, relatives and friends who so kindly assisted in taking her away, and who remembered her with flowers, cards, letters and delicacies and personal calls.
