Parker, Dolores Ann (30 June 1930 – 8 October 2016)

Dolores Ann Parker, 86, passes away peacefully Satruday, Oct. 8, 2016, with her family by her side.

Dolores was born June 30, 1930, in DeKalb, IL, the daugher of Carl and Anna (Hansen) Sederberg. She attended grade school and junior high schools in DeKalb, Joliet, and rural Sycamore, IL, and graduated from Sycamore High School in 1948. She worked as a bookkeeper for an auto garage in Sycamore prior to marriage.

Dolores married Maynard Clair Parker Feb. 17, 1951, at First Lutheran Church in DeKalb. The couple operated dairy farms in Hampshire, IL, and Whitewater before moving to Granton in 1965, where they farmed until 1995. Following the sale of the farm, they resided nearby until moving to Neillsville in 2014.

She was a member of Zion American Lutheran Church. Over the years, she enjoyed her garden flowers, making tied quilts, doing word search puzzles and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very generous and giving person to her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, four children: Bronna (Tim) Lehmann of New Glarus, Jay (Kent Lee) of Columbia Heights, MN, Tim (Amy) of Loyal and Amy (Gary) Veltus of Neillsville; six grandchildren: Zach Lehmann, Tyler Parker, Bailey Parker, Samantha Pohle, Melissa Pohle and Rebecca Veltus; and one great-grandchild (Mary Gallaher). She is also survived by a sister, Marlene (Al) Valerius of DeKalb; a sister-in-law, Peggy Pogue of Rockford, IL; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one nephew.

Visitation will be at the Gesche Funeral Home from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 15, 2016, followed by a private service and interment at Windfall Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, it is requested donations be made to Wisconsin Public Television.

Online condolences may be made at www.geschefh.com.
