Schley, Arthur R. (1887 – 18 DEC 1966)
Arthur R. Schley, 79, Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.), died at 3:30 a.m. Sunday in St.
Joseph’s Hospital at Marshfield.
Services were conducted at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon, December 20, at the
Christian Missionary Alliance Church in Curtiss, with Rev. Arnold Woodring
officiating. Burial was made at Stratford, S.D.
Mr. Schley was born in 1887, in Stratford, S.D., and received his education
there. His marriage to Minnie Dale(?), who preceded him in death Feb. 22, 1923,
took place Feb 18, 1918. In January 1926 he married Mrs. Pearl Shattuck, who
survives him.
From 1935 to 1951 they farmed in the town of Holway. Taylor County, Wis., and
after retirement moved to the village of Curtiss.
Mr. Schley was a member of the Missionary Alliance Church at Curtiss.
In addition to his wife, survivors are two sons, Vernon Schley, Minneapolis; and
Walter Schley, Billings, Montana; a stepson, George Shattuck, Owen; a brother,
Armin Schley, South Dakota; and three grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.
