A/1c Kenneth Klabon, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ted Klabon, returned home Saturday
after spending the past 13 months with the U.S. Air Force in Thailand. He will
enjoy a 40-day leave here before reporting to his next assignment in Tampa,
Florida.
In Thailand Airman Klabon worked as a weapon’s mechanic and in Tampa will work
on F-4’s.
Interesting notes on his flight home are that he left Bangkok, Thailand on the
20 th at 9 p.m. and arrived in San Francisco at 10:30 p.m., also on the 20 th.
Flying on the Continental Airlines Military Chartered flight, one stop was made
in Kabena, Okinawa, and then onto Travis AFB in the U.S. He enjoyed 85 degree
temperatures when leaving in summer uniforms and arrived in San Francisco in 53
degree temperature and rain –“It was cold,” he said.
While home he intends to visit relatives and friends in Chicago, Ohio and La
Crosse.
