Charlene G. Velon (Peterson), age 58, of Chicago Garfield Ridge Community, formerly of Medford, passed away on Sept. 21, 2016.

Beloved wife of George III, loving mother of Sarah Velon, Rebecca Velon and George Velon IV; cherished daughter of Charles and the late Ruth Peterson; fond sister of Julie (Ron) Haas, Deb (the late Lance) Dahl, Mike (Bev) Peterson, the late Mark (Audrey) Peterson, Larry Peterson, Pat (Roger) Hamus, Cindy (Russell) Hamus, David (Leeta) Peterson, Dale (Chris) Peterson, Darla Peterson, Kevin Peterson, Kenny (Amy) Peterson, Jamie (Nikki) Peterson and Chuck (Carrie) Peterson.

She will be dearly missed by aunts, uncles, many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation was held on Sept. 27 at St. Jane de Chantal Church in Chicago, Ill. until the time of the mass. Interment was at Holy Sepulcher Cemetery.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Foran Funeral Home.
