Stucki, Marie A. (23 March 1925 – 5 July 1974)
Marie A. Stucki, daughter of the late Benjamin Stucki and Mrs. Ella Stucki of
Neillsville, was born March 23, 1925, in Neillsville and died July 5, 1974, at
Highland Park, Il.
A memorial service was held in Highland Park July 8 and committal services were
held July 11, at the Indian Mission, Black River Falls. The Rev. Gary Clark of
the Neillsville United Church of Christ and the Rev. John Culver of the Mission
Church officiated.
Miss Stucki graduated from Neillsville High School, received her Bachelor of
Arts degree from Elmhurst College and her Master of Education degree from
Northwestern University. She held teaching positions in Skokie and Wilmette,
Il., and spent the last 19 years teaching in the Highland Park Schools. She was
a member of several organizations; among them, Miss Stucki was a confirmed
member of the Winnebago United Church of Christ at Black River Falls.
Survivors include her mother; four brothers and two sisters: Jacob C. Stucki of
Kalamazoo, Mi., Benjamin J. Stucki of Sanger, Tx., William P. Stucki of Ann
Arbor, Mi., David R. Stucki of Madison, Peg Bremer of Marshfield and Elizabeth
Carnes of Rome, N.Y. In addition, she leaves many other relatives and friends.
Her father preceded her in death in 1961.
