Martin, Felix (3 SEP 1879 – 10 FEB 1967)
At 10 o'clock Tuesday morning, February 14, 1967, funeral services were
conducted at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Owen, with Father H. Karlheim
officiating. Burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.
Carl Barfnecht, Ray Slock, Owen Melin, Bert Ebert, George Telford and Theodore
Stegeman served as pallbearers.
Mr. Martin died at 9:30 a.m. Friday, February 10, 1967 at his home of
complications of old age.
Mr. Martin was born September 3, 1879, in Belgium, and was married there.
In 1906 they came to the United States and settled in East Moline, Ill., where
Mr. Martin worked for John Deere Company, and had a small fruit farm. In
December 1918 they came to the Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) area and settled on a
farm in the Town of Hoard. The couple observed their 60th wedding anniversary in
September of 1969.
In addition to his wife, survivors are a son, Martin; a daughter, Mrs. Madeline
Weyhe, all of Withee; a grandson, Edwig Martin; a granddaughter, Miss Kathleen
Weyhe, both of Santa Monica, California.
