Perkins, Mabel Carry (4 JUL 1873 – 13 FEB 1967)
Mrs. William Perkins, a resident of the city of Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) for the
past 71 years, passed away Monday of this week at Victory Memorial Hospital at
Stanley, where she had been a patient for several weeks since sustaining hip
injuries in a fall in her home.
Funeral services were conducted at 11:30 o'clock this forenoon from the Hoeper
and Kraut Funeral Home. Father Richard Hewetson of St. Katherine's Episcopal
Church was in charge of the service, with burial being made in Forest Hill
Cemetery at Eau Claire.
Pallbearers were J.P. Madsen, Neal and J.B. Barager, Em.M. Erickson, Henry Mauel
Jr., and James Gummerson.
The former Mabel Carry Merriman was born in Eau Claire on July 4, 1873. Her
marriage to William Perkins, who prceded her in death on sept. 9, 1948, took
place July 21, 1896 at Eau Claire.
In 1898 the couple came to Owen and had resided her since.
Survivors include a daughter, Mr. R. E. (Lottie) Gabriel, Owen, with whom she
live; a son, Dwight Perkins, Jacksonville, Florida; three grandchildren and four
great-grandchildren.
