Zager, Caroline (21 AUG 1916 – 23 MAR 1967)
Services were conducted Saturday afternoon at the Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home
for Mrs. Caroline Zager, 50, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), who died Thursday, March
23, 1967 at the Memorial Hospital in Neillsville. The Rev. Leroy Urman of Withee
officiated, and burial was made in the Abbotsford Cemetery.
Pallbearers were John Paschke Sr., John Paschke Jr., Del Bravener, Herschel
Peter, Robert Briski and Dever E. Green.
Cindy and Sandy Isaacs, accompanied at the organ by Mrs. John Isaacs, sang
"Asleep in Jesus" and "Teach Me to Pray."
The former Caroline Hillman was born August 21, 1916 at Antigo, and was married
there December 12, 1934 to Richard Zager.
The couple had made their home in Antigo for two years before coming to Owen.
Mrs. Zager was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church at Greenwood.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, DuWayne of Owen;
Donald, Marshfield; and Roger at Home; a daughter, Mrs. Gus (Carol) Paschke,
Abbotsford; and five grandchildren.
