Greenwood High School’s Class of 1961 held its 55- year class reunion at the Parkway Pines in Greenwood on Oct. 1. The master of ceremonies was Elmer Noah. After welcoming everyone, a moment of silence was held for the 12 deceased members of the class: Frank Clouse, Frances Hinker, Warren Jackson, Val Krainz Jr., Kathy (McConnell) Worth, Jerry Peterson, Ed Petkovsek, Michael Plautz, Carol (Schofield) Lang, Bill Seliskar, Dave Weber and Dave Worden.
Following the meal, a short meeting was held regarding future reunions. It was decided to hold another in five years. Awards were presented to Dick Jasurda for sending in the first reply, Jim Kesler for being the fi rst to arrive and Dawn Stump for coming the furthest distance. (Maricopa, Ariz.). It was decided to donate any left-over funds to the Greenwood School District to use for students who financially cannot afford school related items or are in need of personal clothing, boots, caps, etc.
