Among the 500 graduates who will receive degrees in Commencement ceremony
Sunday, May 28, 1967 at Wisconsin State University, River Falls, are three from
Owen (Clark Co., Wis.). They are John Laakso, Gerald A. Hill and O-W's
agricultural instructor, James H. Ferries, who will receive his Master's degree.
LeRoy E. Luberg, Dean of Public Services at the University of Wisconsin, will be
the speaker at the 89th annual Commencement. He is a 1930 …(line missing) Falls,
his hometown, and holds the Master of Philosophy and the Ph.D. degreesss from
the University of Wisconsin. He has held his present office at the university
since 1963.
In addition to conferring of degrees, the University will make its annual
Distinguished Alumnus Award.
On Saturday prior to Commencement, reunions of the classes of 1917, 1927 and
196? will take place at noon, with the annual Senior Alumni Faculty Banquet
scheduled for the evening.
