Jack R. Vater, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), is one of 314 candidates for degrees at
La Crosse State University where the 58th annual commencement will be held
Saturday, June 3, 1967, at 2 p.m. in Memorial Stadium.
Dr. George H. Brown, executive vice president for research and engineering at
Radio Corporation of America, was the speaker. He is the winner of the Edison
Medal for 1967, awarded in recognition of high attainments in the field of
electrical engineering.
The degrees were conferred by President Samuel G. Gates.
Jack Vater, son of Mr. and Mrs. Neil Vater, route 1, Owen, received a Bachelor
of Science degree from the College of Letters and Science.
While in school he was news editor of the school paper.
His immediate plans are to join the Army.
