Jordahl, Eleanor Marie (12 September 1925 – 27 October 2016)
Eleanor Marie Jordahl, 91, of Neillsville died Thursday, Oct. 27, 2016, at her
home.
Eleanor Marie (Schouviller) Jordahl was born Sept. 12, 1925, in Richmond, MN,
the daughter of Bernard and Mary (Zumwalde) Schouviller. She attended St. Peter
& Paul Catholic School for eight years in Richmond and graduated from Eden
Valley High School in 1943. Eleanor went to work for Brown and Bigelow in St.
Paul, MN, where she worked until 1954. She was united in marriage to Myron James
Jordahl Aug. 21, 1954. He died Nov. 24, 2011. He was a great husband, father and
grandfather. Eleanor enjoyed playing Bridge, golfing, bowling and raising her
four daughters and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a member of St.
Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville, PCCW and the Catholic Order of Forester.
She is survived by her daughters: Jean Spiegel of Neillsville, Dr. Janyce (John)
Moroz of Plymouth, MN, Judy Jordahl of Brooklyn Center, MN, and R. Joyce (Gregg)
Nash of New Port Richey, FL; five grandchildren: Jason Spiegel and Jenny Pape,
Marianna and James Moroz and Nickolas Nash. She is further survived by one
sister, Lillian Sichak of Columbia Heights, MN. Eleanor was preceded in death by
her husband, Myron James Jordahl, her parents, three brothers: Ray, Roy and
Bernard Schouviller and four sisters: Ruth Backlund, Viola Brinkman, Anne Marie
and Teresa Marie Schouviller.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12 p.m.; Wednesday, Nov. 23, 2016, at
St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Neillsville. Rev. Varkey V. Joseph will officiate.
Providing music will be Jenny Pape vocalist, Vicente Cortez, organist and St.
Mary’s Choir. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. Wednesday morning
at the church prior to the service. Inurnment will be held in Neillsville City
Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the American Diabetes
Association or St. Mary’s Building Fund.
