Wendt, Linda Kay (24 JUN 1967)
St. James Trinity Lutheran Church, Fall Creek, was the setting for the ceremony
uniting Miss Linda Kay Wendt, 1158 N. 14th Street, Eau Claire, and Dennis Lee
Christ, June 24, 1967. The Rev. Paul Wittenberg performed the 2 p.m. ceremony.
The bride, daughter of Mrs. Thor Evensen, 328 Washington Ave., Fall Creek, and
Cecil R. Wendt, 1158 14th Street, wore a floor length gown styled of nylon sheer
over taffeta fashioned with a scoop neckline and elbow sleeves. The slim skirt
featured Venice lace motifs down the front, ending at the hemline.
A Watteau panel edged with Venice lace swept into a chapel train. Wearing a bow
enhanced with pearls to secure her bouffant silk illusion veil, the bride
carried a formal cascade of white orchid and carnations.
Judy Ann Sell, Fall Creek, was maid of honor, and Gwen Lucille Christ, sister of
the bridegroom, was bridesmaid. They wore pink linen gowns fashioned with an
empire bodice and sheath skirt, accentuated with Venice lace bordering the
sleeves and back panel. Pouf veils on daisy hats highlighted with a bow
completed their ensemble. Each carried a formal cascade bouquet of carnations.
The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Christ, route 1, Fall Creek, was
attended by his cousin, Gary Christ, best man, and Ralph Wendt, Fall Creek,
brother of the bride, groomsman. Randy Wendt of Owen and Ted Zank, Wheeler,
seated the guests.
