Svenson, Mr./Mrs. Roy (Silver - 25 JUN 1967)

Twenty-fifth anniversary activities for Mr. and Mrs. Roy Svenson, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), started with attending church services on Sunday, June 25th, 1967, at the United Church of Christ, Owen. For the occasion there was special organ and flute music played by Mr. and Mrs. Gabor Havasi. A family dinner was held following church services at the Woodland Hotel.

An "open house" was held Sunday afternoon at the United Church of Which, which was attended by a large number of relatives and friends of the celebrated couple. The church dining room was beautifully decorated with pink peonies and white carnations. The buffet table held a three-tier decorated wedding cake in pink and white, with the original bride and groom decoration atop. Silver candies and a colored formal wedding picture taken 25 years ago, added to the decoration.

Assisting with the reception was their daughter, Suzann, who welcomed the guests and was in charge of the guest book. The wedding cake was cut and served by Mrs. Wesley Rodda, while Misses Rachel and Rodine Rettig assisted at the punch bown and coffee was served by Mesdames Gene Boyd and Robert Rettig.

Present at the celebration were all but one of the original wedding party. Attending were Messrs. Cleo Tillman, Paul Bakr and Stanley Sezeniak, and Mesdames Kathleen Boy, Lois Dudley and Donna Havasi. Unable to attend was Mrs. Lois (Svenson) O'Neil of Columbia City, Indiana.

Again on Monday evening the Svenson's welcomed neighbors and friends at a reception held at their home.

Dudley, Taylorville, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. Wesley Rodda, Laurie and Lee, Mundelein, Illinois; Mr. and Mrs. John Dachel, Neenah; Mr. and Mrs. Paul Baker and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Boyd, Steven and Jackie, Zion, Illinois; Mrs. Henry Isner, Winthrop Harbor, Illinoi; Dale Mathias, Springfield, Virginia; Mr. and Mrs. Arno Jess and sons, Menomonie; Mr. and Mrs. Gabor Havasi and children of Skokie, Illinois; Mrs. Harry Richardson and Earl Richardson, Greenwood; Donald Sanders, Wausau; Bill Dachel, Neenah, and Tom Riber, Owen.
