The Rev. Leroy Urman performed the wedding ceremony on Saturday, July 1st, 1967,
which united Mrs. Evelyn Schmitt and Gerald Henry Quelle in marriage. The
wedding took place at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee at seven o'clock in
the evening.
The bride chose a two-piece ivory suit and wore a white headpiece with white
roses. Her corsage was of red roses.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Mrs. Esther Hautamaki of Stratford,
who wore a two-piece beige suit. Her headpiece was brown with tan rose, and she
wore a corsage of pink roses.
Attending the groom as best man was Vandy Hautamaki of Stratford.
Following the wedding a dinner was held at the Woodland Hotel in Owen (Clark
Co., Wis.), and that evening a reception followed at the American Legion Hall,
at which over 200 guests attended.
Guests came from Greenwood, Marshfield, Thorp, Stratford, Madison, Kenosha,
Milwaukee, Fredonia; Oronoco, Minn.; Negaunee, Mich.; and Owen and Withee.
