Receiving her degree from the School of Education will be Bernelda Noah Karlen,
Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) at the August Commencement of Wisconsin State University
at Eau Claire on Friday evening, August 4 at 8 p.m. in Schofield Auditorium.
Receiving degrees will be five graduates from the School of Arts and Sciences;
fifty from the School of Education; two from the School of Graduate Studies; 29
with degree of Master of Science in Teaching and one with the Master of Arts in
Teaching. Miss Patrica Cartwright of Elk Mound is the first person to receive
the degree of Master of Arts in Teaching from Wisconsin State University, Eau
Claire, under a program fist instituted with the summer session of 1966, leading
to a teacher certification on the graduate level for persons holding a
baccalaureate degree in the liberal arts.
Speaking at the Commencement will be William G. Kahl, Superintendent of the
Music Department of Public Instruction. His topic will be "Dimensions for
Reaching Success."
