Zimmermann-Lindner, Lois
LOYAL – Lois I. Zimmermann Lindner, 72, of Loyal passed away peacefully Sunday,
April 6, 2003, at her home with family and friends at her side.
Funeral Services will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in
Loyal with the Rev. Roman Kaiser officiating. Burial will follow in the parish
cemetery. Pallbearers will be grandsons and great-grandsons.
Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday with a 5 p.m. prayer service
at the Cuddie Funeral Home.
Lois Irene Schultz was born Oct. 10, 1930, in the town of Beaver, Clark County,
the daughter of Joseph and Lorinda (Scheer) Schultz. She attended Loyal High
School and Milwaukee Vocational School. On Oct. 16, 1948, Lois was united in
marriage to Rueben Zimmermann at Trinity Lutheran Church in Loyal. Rueben passed
away on Oct. 7, 1973. Lois was employed at Normington’s Laundry and Dry Cleaning
for 13 years and Distributor’s Warehouse in Marshfield for 27 years. She retired
in 1992. On May 25, 1991, Lois married Vincent “Pete” Lindner at St. Anthony’s
Catholic Church in Loyal. She will be remembered for her generous heart, her
sense of humor, and her love for others. She loved to cook, bake, share recipes,
fish, dance and travel. Lois and Pete traveled to Greece, Europe, Mexico. Both
enjoyed spending time at their winter home in McAllen, Texas. She treasured many
fishing trips to Phillips with family and friends.
Lois was a member of the Loyal American Legion Auxiliary and St. Anthony’s
Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent “Pete” Lindner of Loyal; three sons,
David (Fran) Zimmermann of Carlisle, Pa., Rick (Elaine) Zimmermann of La Crosse
and Tim Zimmermann of Munich, Germany; two grandsons, Zachary and Matthew
Zimmermann; four stepchildren, Judy (Denny) Olson of Greenwood, Darlene (Ted)
Woodkey of Spencer, Kay (Thomas) Schultz of Stevens Point and Patrick (Chris)
Lindner of Loyal; one step-daughter-in-law, Lavon Lindner of Loyal; 15 step
grandchildren, Kelly (Travis) Olson, Tracy (Mark) Mahm, Cheryl Olson, Peggy
Lindner (fiancé Chris Helgstad), Kim, Jonathan and Rick (Jenny) Woodkey, Dana
(Patrick) Philips, Luke (Stacey) Lindner, Jill Lindner, Gretchen (Peter) Hintz,
Marty and Amanda Schultz, Kurt and Heather Lindner; two step
great-grandchildren, Brett Olson and Jaden Mahm. Lois is further survived by one
sister, Carolyn Kaltenbach of Milwaukee.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Rueben, and two brothers.
In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred to Ministry Home Hospice Care and the
St. Anthony’s Catholic School of Loyal.
