Halvorson, Orvis E. (18 JAN 1929 - 25 OCT 2016)

Orvis E. Halvorson, age 87, of Marshfield, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2016, at Atrium Post-Acute Care Center in Marshfield. No services were held per Orvis’ wishes.

He was born Jan. 18, 1929, the son of Henry and Inga (Johnsrud) Halvorson in the town of Wien. He graduated from Edgar High School in 1947. Orvis worked at the Kohler Company for over 36 years until he retired in 1991.

Orvis is lovingly survived by siblings, Doris Kubitz, Betty Pliskie, Elaine Langhoff, Laurie Halvorson, Chris Hager and JoAnn (Steven) Swanson. He is further survived by sisters-in-law, Inez Halvorson and Darlene Halvorson; as well as many nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed.

Orvis was preceded in death by his parents, Henry and Inga; as well as siblings, Arnold, Melvin and Irving Halvorson and Helen Patton.
