Ferries, Mr./Mrs. James (Silver – 6 AUG 1967)
On Sunday, August 13, 1967, the friends and relatives of Mr. and Mrs. James
Ferries gathered to help them observe their Silber Wedding Anniversary.
The day began with relatives joining them for church services at St. John's
Lutheran Church. Dinner was served to 68 relatives at the Country Club, followed
by an Open House in the club room.
Guests included their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Vern Ferries, La Farge; and Mrs.
Lillian Brandlau, who makes her home with them, their daughters, Paula and
Sandra, as well as relatives and friends from Kendall, Wilton, La Crosse,
Sparta, Tomah, Cumberland and Hustisford; Minneapolis, Minn.; and Sheridan,
Wyoming.
Mr. and Mrs. James Ferries (Bernice Brandlau), both natives of Wilton, were
married on August 6, 1942. They came to Owen (Clark Co., Wis.) in July of 1949,
fulfilling teaching contracts in the Owen school system, and during the past 18
years they have both been active in community, school and church affairs.
They would like to thank the many friends they have acquired in this community
over this span of years for making the day a most memorable one.
