Rued, Axel (13 OCT 1888 – 14 SEP 1967)
A former Curtiss (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, Axel Rued, passed away Thursday,
September 14, 1967 at Deaconess Hospital in Milwaukee, after having suffered a
heart attack. He was 78 years. Old.
Funeral services were conducted at two o'clock Monday, September 18 from St.
Paul's Lutheran Church at Curtiss, with burial made in the parish cemetery. Rev.
Roger Tellock officiated. Earl Schiszik, Steve Rue, Dale Thompson, Alfred
Thompson, Ed Krause and Wayne Olson served as pallbearers.
Mr. Rue was born October 13, 1888 in the town of Hoard, and later farmed in that
township until 1942, when he moved to Milwaukee. During his residence here he
served the school district as its cler for 25 years. In Milwaukee he was an
employee of a railway as a boiler repairman.
In 1915 he was married to the former Emma Lulloff, who preceded him in death. He
is survived by two sons, Ambrose, Marshfield, and Marvin of Gilman; a daughter,
Mrs. Chester (Violet) Bangsberg, Sparta.
