Mrs. Wm. Plutte accompanied Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Wiedenhoeft to Cable Sunday,
where they spent the day with relatives.
Miss Juanita Kluve, a missionary in Nigeria, Africa for many years and a former
Curtiss area resident, is home a furlough. She is a guest at the home of her
sister, Mr. and Mrs. Walter Lipprandt and brother, Archie Kluve, and other
relatives and friends in this area. She was a guests speaker at the Christian
Mission Alliance Church here Sunday morning.
Mrs. Marge Wredmond is visiting friends in Cedar Rapids, Iowa this week.
Mrs. Belle Williams of Minneapolis is a house guest at the home of Mrs. Mary
Fahrenbach. Other guests there this past weekend were Mr. and Mrs. Chet
Fahrenbach of Medford.
Mr. and Mrs. A.M> Erickson and Mr. and Mrs. Willard Geary spent the past weekend
visiting relatives in La Crosse.
Mr. and Mrs. Harvey Witt Sr. visited friends in Park Falls Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Art Schoen of Milwaukee and Mrs. Paul Eckes and Mr. and Mrs. Alvin
Droust of Sherwood, and Mrs. Rose Schiszik of Kaukauna were among the rleatives
from away who attended the funeral services for Mark Allen and Mrs. LaVerne
Klemetson at the St. Louis Catholic Church at Dorchester on Tuesday and Saturday
of last week.
Miss Jeanne Schuette, a student at Jefferson Art School at La Crosse, spent the
weekend at her home here. Saturday evening relatives enjoyed a gathering at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Orville Schuette in observance of her birthday
anniversary.
Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Hennlich of Clearwater, Florida, former Curtiss area residents,
are visiting relatives and friends in this area now.
A large crowd attended the miscellaneous shower held at the School Village Hall
on Saturday evening, the 23rd, in honor of Susan Klemetson and Clifford Porter.
They received many lovely gifts. A lunch and refreshments were served.
Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Sonnentag of Leona were recent guests at the home of his
sister, Mr. and Mrs. John Michlig. They all attended the funeral services of the
ladies brother of Stratford.
Mr. and Mrs. George Smith and sons of Chili were Sunday guests at the home of
his mother, Mrs. Martha Harmel.
