Zondlo, Rose M. (Brehm) (27 NOV 1918 - 11 NOV 2012)
Rose M. Zondlo, age 93, of Golden Living Center, Rib Lake, WI, passed away on
Sunday, November 11 at Golden Living Center, Rib Lake, where she had resided for
the past 4 months.
The funeral mass will be at 11:00 AM on Thursday, November 15 at Good Shepherd
Catholic Church, Rib Lake, with Father Otto Bucher and Deacon Mark Priniski
officiating. Interment will be at the Lakeview Cemetery, Rib Lake.
Pallbearers will be her grandchildren: Joe, Jennifer, Jimmy and Mary Jo Schabel,
Michael, Tylor, Jackson, Steve and Rodger Zondlo, Sue Netzer, Brett House.
Visitation will be at Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Rib Lake from 4:00 PM until
the time of Rosary Services at 7:15 PM on Wednesday, November 14, also from 10
AM until the time of funeral mass at 11 AM on Thursday, November 15.
Rose was born on November 27, 1918 at Rib Lake, to Otto and Rose (Schneck)
Brehm.
She attended Rib Lake elementary schools.
On April 18, 1934, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Rib Lake, Rose
married Andrew “Andy” Zondlo. He preceded her in death September 26, 1987.
She worked in the lumber camps of WI and Upper MI as a cook for a period of
time. They farmed in the Township of Rib Lake for a period of time. She also
worked at the Rib Lake Cheese Factory, Coast-to-Coast Store and was a cashier at
Ed’s IGA in Rib Lake until her retirement. She enjoyed bowling, quilting and
playing cards.
Rose was a member of Good Shepherd Catholic Church, Rib Lake where she taught
catechism for a period of years, and lifelong member of the Christian Mother’s
Society. She attended the Rib Lake Senior Center.
She is survived by her children, Nancy Schabel of Milwaukee; David (Jane) Zondlo
of Weston, and Ed (Mary) Zondlo of Rib Lake; 10 grandchildren; 16 great
grandchildren; step sister, Grace Cohler of Spencer.
Rose is predeceased by her parents, Otto and Rose (Schneck) Brehm; infant son
John in 1934; siblings Ed Brehm; step-sister Delora Tepp.
