Erickson, Howard W. – Pfc. (21 MAY 1949 – 30 APR 1969)

Pfc. Howard William Erickson, 20, Addison, Illinois, was killed in military action in Vietnam on April 30, 1969. He was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Erickson Sr., former (Clark Co., Wis.) area residents.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 10 at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Curtiss (Clark Co.) The Rev. Roger Tellock, pastor, officiated, and burial was made in the Evangelical Lutheran Cemetery.

Howard Erickson was born May 21, 1949 in Colorado and received his education in Illinois. He entered the service in July of 1968, and was sent to Vietnam in January of this year. He was a machine gunner with the Third Infantry and was killed near Due Pho.

Survivors include his parents, two sisters, Marsha and Susan, and his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornel Erickson and Lew Bulgrin of Owen, and Mrs. Laura McCannaba of Colorado.
