Strama, Judith “Judy” L. (Ellis) (23 MAR 1943 - 17 NOV 2016)
Judith “Judy” L. Strama, age 73, of W8680 Perkinstown Ave., Medford, passed away
on Thursday, November 17, 2016 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital, Wausau where she had
been a patient for the past week.
A Celebration of Life gathering will be held from 2 – 7 PM on Saturday, December
3 at the residence of her daughter, Jane Albrecht at W8614 Perkinstown Avenue,
Medford, Town of Hammel.
Judy was born on March 23, 1943, at Olivia, MN, to Fay and Clara (Timm) Ellis.
She attended Olivia MN elementary and high schools.
On February 16, 1962, at Olivia, MN, Judy married Joseph “Joe” M. Strama. He
survives.
After her marriage, she worked most of her life as a housewife and mother. She
waitressed at Strama’s Restaurant, worked at Woodland Marketing and Great
Northern Cabinetry for periods of time. She enjoyed fishing, painting art works,
gardening, her animals, and spending time with her family.
Judy is survived by her husband, Joseph “Joe” M. Strama of Medford; children
Jody (Lee) Scheithauer of Medford, Jane (Larry) Albrecht of Medford, Julie
(Andy) Falencik of Appleton, Jennifer (Calvin) Becker of Stetsonville, Josh
(Kristi) Strama of Medford; 6 grandchildren, Jordan and Hailey Strama, Joe Lekie,
Josie Falencik, Jared Zastrow, Gabriella Becker.
She is further survived by her siblings, Kay “Tootsie” (Don) Leindecker of
Olivia, MN and Gordon “Gordy” (Judy) Ellis of Minneapolis, MN.
Judy is predeceased by her parents, Fay and Clara (Timm) Ellis; and brother,
Larry Ellis.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be given to the
family for a future designation.
