Beam, Hiram “Himie” L. (29 AUG 1941 - 5 MAR 2012)

Hiram “Himie” L. Beam, age 70, of W1355 Wood Lake Avenue, Rib Lake, passed away on Monday, March 5, 2012 at the Memorial Nursing and Rehab Center, Medford, where he was under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Funeral services will be held at a later date.

Himie was born on August 29, 1941, in the Town of Rib Lake, Rib Lake, to Keith H. and Selma A. (Blank) Beam.

He attended Fawn Valley School, Town of Rib Lake.

In his younger years, Hiram worked for numerous years at Magnuson Mink Ranch. He also farmed on the homestead until the time of his death. He loved his animals, they were his children and best friends. He enjoyed woodworking, working on machinery, and taking care of his family.

He is survived by his siblings, Sarah (Ed) Thiel of Rib Lake; Sally Strebe of Adams-Friendship; twins Karen Beam of Rib Lake; and Shary (Fred) Koepp of Adams; also survived by nieces, nephews; other relatives and friends.

Himie is predeceased by his parents, Keith H. and Selma A. (Blank) Beam; siblings, Vi Nelson in 2008; and Rosezetta in infancy.
