Singstock, Herman (3 MAY 1881 – 6 MAY 1969)
Herman Singstock, 88, Colby, died Tuesday, May 6, 1969 at Memorial Hospital in
Neillsville.
Funeral services were held Friday, May 9, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church at Green
Grove. Burial was made in St. Paul's Parish Cemetery., and the Rev. Arthur Rasch
officiated.
Lulloff Funeral Home was in charge of the funeral arrangements.
Mr. Singstock was born in Waupaca County May 3, 1881, and married Lena Hess May
10, 1904 at the Lutheran Church in Colby. He received his education in the
Readfield elementary schools. He farmed in the town of Colby (Clark Co., Wis.)
for many years. In later years he was also employed by the Owen Canning Company.
He worked there for about 17 years. He held offices of chairman and supervisor
for the township and was a past member of the school board. He was also an
active members of his church.
Survivors, besides his wife, include four children, Arnold Singstock of Oshkosh,
Oscar of Oshkosh, Milbert of Wausau, and Carol (Mrs. Rueben Landen) of Madison;
14 grandchildren, 22 great—grandchildren, and one brother, William, of Unity.
