Anderson, Carl W. (1901? – 12 MAY 1969)
Carl W. Anderson, 67, a former area (Clark Co., Wis.) resident, died of a heart
attack May 12, 1969 at Tahoe Forest Hospital at Truckee, California, where he
had been vacationing from his home at Sacramento, California.
Funeral services were held May 16 at Sierra View Chapel at Carmichael.
Carl W. Anderson was born at Abbotsford, where his family operated a farm east
of the city. He lived there until 1926, when he went to California. He was an
aent for the Internal Revenue Service until ill health forced him to resign in
1962.
Mr. Anderson was also an amateur astronomer and was a former president of the
Sacramento Valley Astronomical Society. He was also a member of the western
Amateur Astronomers Club.
Active in local church affairs, he served as a trustee of the Carmichael
Presbyterian Church and was chairman of the building committee of the First
Unitarian Church in Sacramento.
He is survived by his wife, Florence, 2581 Avalon Drive, Sacramento, and two
sisters, Adelia and Nina Anderson of Sacramento.
A brother, Gerhard Anderson, who lived on the family farm at Abbotsford,
preceded him in death in 1963.
