Schultz, Otto Max (3 April 1898 – 15 July1974)
Funeral services are to be held this (Thursday) afternoon at 2 o’clock from
Immanuel Lutheran Church, Globe, for Otto Max Schultz, 76, of Neillsville, who
died Monday, July 15, following a brief illness. The Rev. Ralph O. Stuebs will
officiate and interment will be in the Neillsville Cemetery. The body of Mr.
Schultz as to be in state from 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Georgas Funeral Home, and
then be taken to the church to lie in state there for an hour before services.
Otto M. Schultz, the son of Carl and Augusta (Laisinski) Schultz, was born April
3, 1898, in the Globe area of the Town of Weston and was educated in schools
there. As a young man, he worked at various jobs. Following his marriage to the
former Vivian Buettner, which took place August 30, 1922, at Globe, the
Schultzes farmed in the Town of Weston until 1959 when they moved to
Neillsville. Mrs. Schultz preceded her husband in death on March 29, 1972. Mr.
Schultz was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.
He is survived by five children, Wilbert Schultz of Camanche, Ia., Howard,
Robert, and Donald Schultz, all of Rt. 1 Greenwood, and Mrs. Robert (Ruth)
Lechner of Kenosha; one sister, Mrs. Frank (Elsie) Stonek of Cudahy; and 17
grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
