Tuesday evening of last week Mesdames Mary Reinertson, Anna Jensen, Lillian
Koplitz and Nina Cattanach attended Friends Nigh at Abbotsford Chapter O.E.S. at
Abbotsford.
Mr. and Mrs. Peter Christensen of Milwaukee called on the Rol Haire and Nina
Cattanach homes on Saturday afternoon, on their way to Neillsville.
Robert Cattanach and sons Douglas, Curtiss and Todd of Altoona visited his
mother, Mrs. Nina Cattanach Saturday afternoon.
On October 21st the Worthy Matron and Worthy Patron of the O.E. S., Mr. and Mrs.
Victor Jessen of Neillsville were accompanied by mrs. Anna Sorensen and drove to
Menomonie, where they attended a party given in honor of Mrs. Robert Limberg of
Glenwood City, who is newly elected Worthy Grand Matron of Wisconsin. The party
was held at Tainter's Hall Tea Room at Stout University.
Mrs. Rhea Dietsche is now at home recuperating since the 13th, following a
five-week siege at St. Joseph's Hospital in Marshfield.
Sunday forenoon Mr. and Mrs. Tom Miller and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Gehrke motored to
the Twin Cities, where they enjoyed the football game played between the
Minnesota Vikings and the Baltimore Colts.
John Bishop is a patient at St. Joseph's Hospital at Marshfield, having
undergone major surgery a week ago Tuesday.
Herb Utteck was dismissed Saturday from the hospital in Rochester, Minnesota,
where he had been a medical patient for two weeks. He and daughter-in-law, Mrs.
Jack Utteck, was accompanied home by his wife.
W.K. Doonan returned home Monday evening from Waukegan, Illinois, where he had
been the past three weeks visiting with his sister, Mrs. Henry Miller.
Annual Bazaar November 2 at the First Congregational Church in Owen. Doors open
at noon. Luncheon served from noon until 4 p.m. Turkey on biscuits supper
starting at 5 p.m. Adults - $1.00; Children - $.50.
