Tessmer, Harvey (5 JAN 1932 - 26 OCT 2011)

Harvey Tessmer, 79, Athens died Wednesday, October 26, 2011 under the care of Asera Care Hospice at Golden Living Center-Continental Manor, Abbotsford.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at the Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens. Burial will be in the Athens Lutheran Cemetery.

Friends may call on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the Athens funeral home.

He was born January 5, 1932 in Athens, son of the late Harvey and Lydia (Schultz) Tessmer.

Harvey was a heavy machinery operator for a road construction company in northern Wisconsin for many years. Some of his favorite pastimes included hunting, fishing and enjoying coffee and converstaion with his friends at the Athens Cafe. Harvey also met with his military friends over lunch at many local restaurants around the Athens area.

Harvey proudly served his country in the United States Army.

Survivors include his sister, Amy (Tessmer) Boening, Shorewood.

Besides his parents he was preceded in death by one brother Merlin Tessmer.
