Frahm, Leonard "Bups" A. Sr. (10 JAN 1922 - 22 FEB 2011)
Leonard "Bups" A. Frahm Sr., 89, Athens, died Tuesday, February 22, 2011 at
Aspirus Wausau Hospital.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11 a.m. Monday, February 28, 2011 at St.
Anthony Catholic Church, Athens. The Very Rev. Charles Hiebl will preside.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Athens. Friends may call Sunday from 3 – 7
p.m. at Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens, and again on Monday from 9:30
a.m. until the time of services at the church. There will be a parish prayer
service 6:45 p.m. Sunday at the Athens funeral home.
He was born January 10, 1922 in Athens, son of the late George Sr. and Anna
(Klein) Frahm. On June 24, 1942 he married Delores Dietsche at St. Thomas
Catholic Church, Milan. She preceded him in death on March 25, 1996.
Leonard served his country in the United States Army, worked as a carpenter,
farmed and raised deer. He was an avid hunter and Green Bay Packers fan. Some of
his other hobbies included restoring Ford Tractors, playing sheepshead and most
of all spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Survivors include his sons, Leonard Jr. (Gloria) Frahm, Calvin Sr. (Nancy)
Frahm, Roger (Kristin) Frahm, Dennis (Shirley) Frahm, Schanon (Angela) Frahm,
all of Athens, David (Connie) Frahm, Edgar, Richard (Susie) Frahm, Wausau, Jeff
(Carmen) Frahm, Athens, Kim (Kim Hoffman) Frahm, Wausau and Perry Frahm, Athens;
37 grandchildren, 54 great-grandchildren; brothers, John "Hunts" (Florence)
Frahm, Wausau, Reuben "Duke" (Myrna) Frahm, Ringle and Marvin "Sons" (Beverly)
Frahm, Milwaukee; sister, Dorothy "Ditty" Bonin, Calumet City, Ind.; many other
relatives and friends.
Besides his parents and wife, Delores, he was preceded in death by a daughter,
Karen, grandson, Paul Frahm, granddaughter, Jennifer Frahm, great-grandson,
Chandler Zettler, brothers, Arthur, LeRoy "Bobby", Orville "Toots", George "Ki",
and Harold "Bip", and a sister, Florabell "Honey".
