Fenske, Beverly (6 MAR 1928 - 24 NOV 2016)
Beverly Fenske entered this world on March 6, 1928 and left it on November 24,
2016. Beverly was born to Henry and Maria (Feddick) Genrich on the family
farmstead in Little Black, WI. She attended school in Dorchester where she met
Norman Fenske. She married this high school sweetheart on August 27, 1952 at St.
Joseph's Catholic Church in Dorchester. Beverly and Norman lived in Bloomer, WI,
Ellsworth, WI, New London, WI, and the last four years at Faribault Senior
Living in Faribault, MN.
Beverly enjoyed the competition of athletics. In her youth she and her three
sisters comprised the core of the woman's softball team. Later she enjoyed golf
and would challenge for the club championship, never quite getting over the top,
always having to settle for Runner Up.
Professionally Beverly worked as a bookkeeper, the majority of the years at Ron
& Lloyd's Red Owl and then with Festival Foods in New London. She and her
husband Norman also owned Wolf River Liquor in New London.
Beverly enjoyed getting together with friends and family, entertaining dad's
company functions and playing Bridge or Poker. Beverly would cheer on the Green
Bay Packers even while living in Viking territory. Most of all, Beverly enjoyed
spending time with her family, especially at Christmas.
Beverly is survived by her husband of 64 years, Norman, one daughter Debbie
(Steve) Morgan, Faribault, MN, sons, Kent, Minneapolis, MN, Scott (Glenda),
Plover, WI, and Kurt, Gleason, WI. She is also survived by seven grandchildren
and thirteen great-grandchildren, Kevin's ex-wife Mary and extra special family
friend, Katie. She was preceded in death by her parents, her son Kevin Fenske in
2015, her sisters Blanche Chapman, Dora Ludwig, and Doris Carpenter.
The family would like to thank the incredible staff and friends at Faribault
Senior Living for all of their love, caring, and support. And an extra special
gratitude goes to Julia and Alexis, who never left our sides and even brought us
in a Thanksgiving meal.
A celebration of Beverly's life will take place on Monday, December 12, 2016
from 12:00 noon to 2:00 p.m. at Faribault Senior Living, 843 Faribault Road,
Faribault, MN which will include a prayer service lead by her grandson, the
Reverend Aric Fenske. Her request was no flowers.
It was written in Beverly's high school senior annual that if words were
pennies, Beverly would be a millionaire. Well, she did not leave us a million
dollars but she did leave us with millions of memories.
