Sgt. Jerome A. Nowak, 21 year old son of Mr. and Mrs. Matt Nowak, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), was recently assigned to the 196 Light Infantry Brigade near Chu Lai, Vietnam. He entered the service in 1965 and received his basic training at Fort Leonard Wood, Missouri. Prior to his arrival in Vietnam on October 9th, 1967, he was stationed at Bamberg, Germany for two years.
