Schmidt, Janelle LoRee (6 JUL 1967)
Robert A. Johnson, son of Dr. and Mrs. J.W. Johnson of Withee (Clark Co., Wis.),
and the former Miss Janelle LoRee Schmidt, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Arnold L.
Schmidt of St. Helens, California, were married on July 6, 1967, in Hinsdale,
Illinois, where the bride and groom were both then employed.
At the 7:30 o'clock wedding the bride was attired in a floor length white Peau
de soie gown overlaid with lace, scalloped neckline and short sleeves. The
flowing train was attached to the shoulders. From the ringlet crown fell the
shoulder length veil, and she carried a bouquet with an orchid surrounded by
carnations.
Attending the bride as maid of honor was her sister, Miss Charlene Schmidt, and
Sandra and Lidna Johnson, both of Withee, sisters of the groom, were
bridesmaids.
Paul Pervis of Hinsdale, a friend of the groom, served as best man.
Both the bride and the groom attended Andrews University in Michigan and
graduated in 1965. The groom is a graduate of Withee High School.
The couple is now making their home in San Antonio, Texas, where he is stationed
at Fort Sam Houston with the 4th U.S. Army Headquarters Adjutant General
Computing Center.
