Bjornstad, Elsie (4 NOV 1967)
Wedding vows were repeated at St. John's Lutheran Church in Withee before the
Rev. LeRoy Urman, which untied Mrs. Elsie Bjornstad and Vincent Yanke in
marriage. The seven o'clock evening service on November 4, 1967 was attended by
just the immediate families.
Attending the couple were Mr. and Mrs. James Bjornstad, the bride's son and
daughter-in-law.
The bride chose a beige dress with overlay of brown lace and wore a corsage of
gold roses. Her maid of honor wore a Kelly green chiffon dress and wore a
corsage of red and white roses.
Following the ceremony a supper was held at the Casa Grande in Abbotsford for
the immediate families.
The newlyweds are making their home in Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), occupying the
living quarters of Mr. and Mrs. Richard Allen.
A prenuptial shower was given for the bride on October 18 by hostesses, Mesdames
Richard and Thomas Allen. It was a surprise evening coin shower attend by 2f0
guests. Games and a social hour filled the evening, with a tasty lunch served at
the conclusion.
