Mr. Jalmer Heikkinen was pleasantly surprised with a birthday reception given in honor of his 89th birthday on Sunday afternoon following the Finnish services at Bethany Lutheran Church. Close to 50 relatives and friends gathered in the church parlors to partake of the birthday luncheon. The hostesses were his three daughters, Mrs. Wm. C. Kangas, Mrs. John Cramer(?), and Mrs. Edward Brecke.

Mr. Heikkinen was the recipient of many cards and gifts and a most enjoyable time was had by all.
