McErn, Floyd (14 AUG 1896 – 22? NOV 1967)
Funeral services for Floyd McErn were conducted here Saturday afternoon at the
Hoeper and Kraut Funeral Home. The Rev. Thomas Ross of Tomah officiated and
burial was made at Riverside Cemetery.
John and Ed Laneville, George Martin, Harold Tate, Emil Anderson and Carl Lenz
served as pallbearers.
McErn, 71, a former Withee (Clark Co., Wis.) resident and now of Tomah, was
pronounced death at the hospital in Hayward after becoming ill in his deer
hunting cabin in Bayfield County during the night. Death was attributed to a
heart attack.
Mr. McErn was born at Thompson, Illinois, August 14, 1896, and was married at
Owen to Rose Laneville on February 21, 1923. He came to Withee in 1919 and
farmed west of the community. Later he operated aa service station at Withee. In
1947 he moved to Tomah, where he had operated an implement business for the past
20 years.
He is survived by his wife and a daughter, Mrs. Lawrence Baenti, residing in
Connecticut.
