Wagner, Carol Jean (18 NOV 1967)

At a seven o'clock in the evening ceremony on Saturday, November 18, 1967, Miss Carol Jean Wagner, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Ray Wagner, Owen (Clark Co., Wis.), became the bride of Mr. Jeffrey W. Krogmann, son of Mr. and Mrs. Henry Krogmann of Oconomowoc. The Rev. Robert E. Goessling of the United Church of Christ performed the nuptials before an altar decorated with two bouquets of bronze colored mums.

Miss Sue Westendorf, Withee, rendered the vocal selections, "The Song of Ruth" and "The Lord's Prayer," being accompanied by Miss Sheila Koplitz of Curtiss.

When given in marriage by her father, the bride wore an Alencon lace shift gown fashioned with a scooped neckline, long tapered sleeves, with a removable lace and net chapel train which was edged with three rows of lace matching the lace of the gown. Her lace headpiece was a flower shaped cluster of net and aurora borealis beads, from which the elbow length veil was attached. She carried a crescent shaped bouquet of red sweetheart roses, whit stephanotis and ivy.

Mrs. James Petersen, Withee, a close friends of the bride, was matron of honor, and bridesmaid were Mrs. Robert Bieri of Brookfield and Miss Diane Tamillo, a cousin of the bride, Milwaukee, and Mrs. Gary Krogmann, a sister of the groom, from Oconomowoc.

The bride's aides gowns were of a fine Kareti material designed with the bodice semi-empire effect, with the front skirt A-line. The square neckline in the back of their gowns was low cut with two buttons on each side of an empire effect highlighting the waists. Their skirts had a soft Watteau drape. Headpieces were of net with bustle veils of the same shades as their dresses. The matron of honor wore a gold colored gown, while the other three bridesmaids wore moss green. They carried one large bronze mum tied with a ribbon of the same color as their dress.

Attending the groom as best man was Gary Krogmann, brother of the groom, from Langley AFB, Virginia. Groomsmen were Robert Bieri, Brookfield; Robert Molzner, a cousin of the bride, Milwaukee; and Allen Wagner, brother of the bride.

Ushers were James Petersen of Withee and Dominick Krogmann of Oconomowoc.

A dinenr was served in the church dining room following the ceremony, and a dance followed at the American Legion Hall.

The bride graduated in 1961 from Owen-Withee High School and WSU, Eau Claire in 1965. For the past two years she taught geometry in the Oconomowoc Senior High School.

The groom is a 1958 graduate of the Oconomowoc School system and attended the University of Wisconsin at Madison.
