Ft. Ord, California – Army Private Ronald F. Ampe, 19, son of Mr. and Mrs. Paul
F. Ampe, route 1, Loyal (Clark Co., Wis.), completed a field communications
crewman course November 26 at Ft. Ord, California.
During the eight week course he was trained to string wire from the field to the
communications center. Instruction was also given in basic electricity,
switchboard installation and operation, and pole climbing.
