Congratulations Withee Public Library on a successful Open House held December
3, 2016, and unveiling of a long awaited digital newspaper database. That
database includes 103 years of searchable Withee area newspapers from 1902 to
2005: the Withee Sentinel, Withee Journal, Clark County Journal, Owen Enterprise
and the O-W Enterprise. The project has been in the works for years, under the
tireless leadership of Louise Olszewski, with generous support from the Withee
Public Library Board of Trustees and assistance of the staff of the Withee
Public Library. The Library is one of the finest small town public libraries in
the State of Wisconsin and beyond. Thank you all who support the Library, and
congratulations to all involved in making such an excellent resource available.
Special thanks to Karen (my sister) for a personal visit to the open house on my
behalf, and for sharing photo's of the exciting day. The library and it's staff
do much with limited resources. If you are able to provide a small contribution
or in kind support, please do so. It would benefit many. If you are in the area
of Withee, stop by the Library to say hi and check out their collections. There
is something for all ages
