USS Ranger – December 7, 1967 Airman Apprentice Gary S. Pawlowicz, USN, son of
Mr. and Mrs. Bill Pawlowicz, of route 2, Withee (Clark Co., Wis.), is serving
aboard the attack aircraft carrier USS Ranger in the wester Pacific.
The 75,000 ton aircraft carrier recently joined the U.S. Seventh Fleet for its
third deployment in the Gulf of Tonkin, where it will assiste in meeting the
United States' demands in Vietnam.
Prior to this deployment the USS Ranger successful completed an Operation
Readiness Inspection training phase and was tagged "Combat Ready."
