Saigon, Vietnam (January 2, 1968) – Disbursing Clerk Seaman James L. Henke, USN,
son of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Henke, City (Owen, Clark Co., Wis.), arrived in
Vietnam to serve with the U.S. Naval Support Activity, Saigon.
The command provides logistic and administrative support for Navy forces in thee
of the four Corps areas in Vietnam.
These include small boat forces used in the Navy's efforts to prevent
infiltration of enemy men and equipment by sea or by river in the Southern Delta
area.
Disbursing Clerk Henke entered the service in June 1966.
