Haehlke, Arvid E. (19 MAY 1936 - 14 AUG 2010)

Arvid E. Haehlke, 74, Athens, died peacefully of natural causes on Saturday, August 14, 2010 at Aspirus Wausau Hospital.

Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens. Rev. Andrew Alberts will officiate. Burial will be in the Salem Cemetery, town of Hamburg. Friends may call Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until time of services at the church.
Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Athens is in charge of arrangements.

He was born May 19, 1936 in Wausau, son of the late Herbert Sr. and Cordula (Hamann) Haehlke.

Survivors include, three nieces, Shelly Dobson, Fullerton, Calif., Kelly Haehlke, Appleton and Leslie Grey, Anchorage, Ala. He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Herbert H. Haehlke Jr. and Paul J. Haehlke.

Arvid and Herbert lived in Hamburg on the family farm until health issues caused them to move to the gracious care of Colonial Manor Medical and Rehabiliation Center, Wausau.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Trinity Lutheran Church, Athens.
