Literski, Dorothy L. (Myszka) (25 JUN 1927 - 9 MAY 2010)
Dorothy L. Literski, 82, formerly of Athens died Sunday, May 9, 2010 under the
care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at Marywood Convalescent
Center, Wausau.
The funeral mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Thursday, May 13, 2010 at Holy
Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. The Very Rev. Charles Hiebl and Deacon
Leroy Knauf will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery. Friends may
call on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.
She was born June 25, 1927 in Poniatowski, daughter of the late Casimir and
Theresa (Wadzinski) Myszka. On September 26, 1951 she married Alois Literski at
Holy Family Catholic Church, Poniatowski. He preceded her in death on December
29, 1986.
Together Dorothy and Alois farmed in the town of Rietbrock until the time of his
death in 1986. Dorothy was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church PCCW. She
had many interests including working on puzzles, playing cards, bingo and
listening to polka music but she was best known for her love of animals.
Dorothy is survived by one brother, Ervin (Lorraine) Myszka, Athens and one
sister, Doris Carroll, Copperas Cove, Texas and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents and husband she was preceded in death by one sister, Mary
Ann Albrecht and one infant brother.
