Funeral services were conducted here Saturday morning at Holy Rosary Catholic
Church for Louis O. Resech Jr., 75 year old Medford resident, who died Thursday
morning at Memorial Hospital, Medford, where he had been taken a short time
earlier.
Rev. Jim Blastic, associate pastor, officiated and burial took place in Medford
Catholic Cemetery.
Serving as pallbearers were nephews, John, Tom and Nick Resech, Vern
Pernsteiner, John Mayer and Leon Sauer.
The body lay in state at Hemer Funeral Home, Medford, where a combined parish
and Knights of Columbus prayer vigil was held Friday evening.
Mr. Resech, son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Louis O. Resech St., was born May 11,
1913, in the Town of Molitor and received his education in the Medford area
schools.
He had been employed with the Wurlitzer Company at DeKalb, Ill., prior to his
marriage November 4, 1944, at Medford, to Jeanette Sauer, who survives.
After their marriage, Mr. Resech accepted employment here with the Medford
Cooperative Creamery where he has worked until his retirement in May of 1978.
Mr. Resech was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church, the Catholic Knights and
the Knights of Columbus.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Kay, Mrs. Dale Ludwig,
Medford, and three grandchildren, Lynn, Patrick and Brian.
Four brothers also preceded him in death.
