Trawicki, Delphine S. (Strasser) (15 MAY 1912 - 4 APR 2013)

Delphine S. Trawicki, age 100, Edgar, died Thursday, April 4, 2013 under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services at her home.

The funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at St. John Catholic Church, Edgar. The Rev. Robert Streveler will preside. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Friends may call Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services all at the church.

She was born May 15, 1912 in the town of Rib Falls, daughter of the late Fred and Mary (Kania) Strasser. On October 21, 1929 she married Joseph Trawicki in Edgar. He preceded her in death on February 16, 1983.

Delphine was a homemaker who also held several jobs outside the home including working for the Record Review Newspaper for many years. She enjoyed reading, crocheting, cooking, gardening and canning, especially dill pickles.

Survivors include her children, Delores Wadzinski, Wausau, Donald (Bonnie) Trawicki, Tucson, Arizona, and Patricia Deluca, Edgar; 14 grandchildren, 26 great-grandchildren, four great great-grandchildren, daughter-in-law, Janet Trawicki, Edgar, and other relatives and friends.

Besides her parents and husband, Joseph, she was preceded in death by a son, Anthony Trawicki, two sons-in-law, Marvin Wadzinski and John Deluca, three brothers, John Strasser, Raymond Strasser and Elroy Strasser, four sisters, Ella Bornheimer, Irene Ably, Viola Schuster, Lillian Krautkramer and Marge Olson.

In lieu of flowers, a memorial is being established in Delphine's name.

Peterson/Kraemer Funeral Home, Edgar, is in charge of arrangements.

The family would like to thank the Aspirus Hospice staff for the exceptional care given to our mother and grandmother during the past month. Also special thanks to Bev Stencil and Carol Ashbeck for their constant help and devotion.
