Neillsville’s Newest Police Officer (Schuld – 1 Nov. 2016)

The Neillsville Police Department (NPD) is back to a full staffing level with
the addition of officer Lane Schuld, 21, currently of Auburndale.

Schuld officially began his duties with the NPD Nov. 1. He will be sworn in by
Mayor Steve Mabie at an upcoming city council meeting.
Schuld graduated from Auburndale High School in 2013. He then attended Mid-State
Technical College (MSTC) in Wisconsin Rapids, obtaining an associate’s degree in
criminal justice in 2015.
He has six months of experience, working part-time for the Wood County Sheriff’s
Department. Police Chief Scott Klueckmann said Schuld would be required to move
within 15 miles of the Neillsville city limits following a successful one-year
probationary period.
