Mr. and Mrs. Rex Copper and Mrs. Earl Jensen and son David went to Peoria,
Illinois, Tuesday, where they attended the funeral of Mrs. Copper's brother, Ben
Duff, a former resident of this area, and on Saturday Mrs. Copper received word
of the death of another brother, Richard Duff, who was a resident of California.
Sunday, Mr. and Mrs. Martin Paulsen, Mr. and Mr.s Bernard Auberg and Jeff and
Hans Paulsen went to Minneapolis, where they spen the day visiting Mr. and Mrs.
Russell, Wollitz, and Kerry.
Mr. and Mrs. John Jalling transacted business in Eau Claire on Monday.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Frost moved their household goods to Sparta on Saturday,
where Mr. Frost is employed.
Mrs. Jim Englebretsen and infant son of Wausau are spending the week at the home
of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen.
Guests at the Walter Blunck and Fred Timmler homes were Mr. and Mrs. Irving
Timmler, Tammy and Michael of Eau Claire.
Mr. Frank Arndt is a patient at Victory Memorial Hospital at Stanley.
Dinner guests at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Fredericks on Sunday were Mr. and
Mrs. David Blazer, Mrs. Veryle Auberg and Mr. and Mrs. Phillip Cieslik and
family of Mosinee.
Mr. and Mrs. James Larsen and family and Mrs. Clara Larson visited relatives in
Wausau on Thursday.
Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Meier went to Menasha over the weekend where they visited
their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Donald Meier, and got acquainted
with their new grandson, Bruce Donald.
Mr. and Mrs. John Petras and daughter Kathy of Tony were guests of Mr. and Mrs.
Harley Herington on Sunday.
Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Stevens visited the home of Mr. and Mrs. Terry Stevens on
Sunday.
Larry and Diane Herington left Saturday for Crystal Lake, Ill., where they will
visit their sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Sidney Sorensen a few days
during their semester recess from classes at WSU, Eau Claire.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Helberg and family of Rice Lake spent the weekend at the
home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Christensen.
Mr. and Mrs. Edward Thorson and son Brian of Minneapolis visited the home of
their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Keith Mertens, and also her mother,
Mr.s Charles Knaack in Owen, over the weekend.
Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Peterson returned from their wedding trip over the weekend
and left for Oshkosh Sunday, where they are enrolled at Oshkosh State
University.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert Timmler and family of Milwaukee spent the weekend at the
homes of their parents, Mr. and Mrs. Einar Larson and Mr. and Mrs. Fred Timmler.
Mr. and Mrs. Woodrow Wall visited their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs.
Phillips Hoeser and son at Amery over the weekend.
