Meador, William R. (19 SEP 1937 - 10 SEP 2011)

William R. Meador, 73, Edgar, formerly of Michigan, died Saturday, September 10, 2011 at his son's home, under the care of Aspirus Comfort Care and Hospice Services.

Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, September 14, 2011 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, Rib Mountain. Bishop Steve DeMill will officiate.

Friends may call Wednesday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the church. Burial will be in Bruce Crossing, Mich. on Thursday.

He was born September 19, 1937 in Michigan, son of the late Thomas H. and Thelma L. (Thompson) Meador.

William was a veteran of the United States Airforce. He worked as a railroad conductor for 38 years until his retirement. Among his favorite pastimes, he was a Ham radio enthusiast.

Survivors include four children, Paige (Michael) Dunn, Tomball, Tex., Mitchell (Melinda) Meador, Niles, Mich., Chris (Jailynn) Meador, Helena, Mont. and Jamey (Lisa) Meador, Edgar; his ex-wife, Darlene Meador, Niles, Mich.; 11 grandchildren; three great grandchildren; five siblings, Tom (Bonnie) Meador, Marilee (Larry) Jolliff, Terrie (Bob) Kemble, Toni Grisham and Andy (Mark) Anderson, all of Niles, Mich.; and many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one grandson, Joe Norris; and his brother and best buddy, Ron Meador.
